You Creative Types

Lately I’ve been talking to a lot of you creative types and learning first hand about the characteristics of the creative psyche.

Following is a small collection of points that I have found are stumbling blocks for creative type people like you (and ME).

1. We think too much. Thinking too much is the evil twin of perfection. Both of these lead to worry and inaction. Neither are productive.

2. We don’t ask for enough. We don’t ask enough from our creativity or from the world. The Universe is infinitely generous and ready to give to those who ask.

3. We are poor personal visionaries. Out of fear or self doubt we prognosticate lousy futures for ourselves. This probably stems from #4.

4. Systematic low self esteem, “Who’d be interested in ME? or my work?” We feel powerless so we willingly let the whims of others control our creativity and our future.

This list is not scientifically compiled or proven. But I see it repeated over and over again in our creative community. I bring these thoughts up as a concerned friend because I want more. I want more for you, more for me, more from the world at large. It’s time to step into our power as creators. It’s time to believe in ourselves and know the truth of how big, capable and powerful we really are. (TWEET)

with love,
