Greenpeace

Sam -

All of us have a stake in the fight to end the destruction of our water, land, and air!

Thank you!

THANK YOU!

I’m delighted to be able to tell you that we’re starting the year off in a great way!

You may remember that we set out to get at least 2,018 new and renewed members for 2018. Well, not only did we meet this goal — we blew past it! We welcomed 2,793 new members and re-signed renewing members.

If you are one of those 2,793 people, please accept my deepest thanks.

This news could not come at a more critical time. Looking ahead to the rest of 2018, there is so much that we must do.

  • We must block the climate-destroying, environment-ravaging actions of the Trump administration, Congress, and the millionaire CEOs who give them their marching orders.

  • We must defend ourselves against frivolous SLAPP lawsuits, whose goal is to silence us and our allies — and even drive us out of existence.

  • We must prevent the building of pipelines that will wreck our climate and trample across Indigenous territory, potentially polluting the water and destroying communities.

  • We must end industry’s love affair with single-use plastic packaging that gets dumped into the oceans, choking animals, destroying habitats, and poisoning marine life — as well as those of us who eat fish or shellfish.

Most of all, we must join together as a unified group of world citizens and tell the greedy CEOs of giant corporations, the politicians who do their bidding, anyone who places profits above people and trades the health of the many for the enrichment of the few — tell them all that we’re not going to let them get away with it any longer.

For a cleaner planet,

Jesse Boateng
Engagement Director, Greenpeace USA

P.S. The January membership drive is over, but it’s not too late to give. If you aren’t one of the 2,793 people who responded, but you care about our oceans and the life they nurture, then by all means, make a donation today. We need to have everyone on our side.

Greenpeace never takes a dime from corporations or governments. Everything we do is thanks to the generous support of people like you!
